What is a Goal Attainment Score (GAS)?

A Goal Attainment Scale (GAS) is a simple five-point scale used to review student progress and measure the impact of interventions. Outcomes are rated from -2 (much less than expected) to +2 (much more than expected) to allow comparison across students with different starting points.

Learning Plan Reviews

A Learning Plan Review is the process of evaluating the effectiveness of a student's learning plan and tracking progress over time using the Goal Attainment Score. Reviews feed the audit trail and help maintain accurate records and staff accountability.

Adjustment Reviews

An Adjustment Review is a structured evaluation process using the Goal Attainment Score. It is used by educators to measure and document the effectiveness of applied adjustments or interventions in meeting student needs. It allows schools to determine whether support strategies are working and provides evidence of ongoing monitoring for compliance and reporting.
